Shit happens business happens

Not my words, the catch phrase for IDE Cambodia’s ingenious system for providing cheap sanitation to rural Cambodians whilst providing sustainable business opportunities for locals. We Westerners take for granted clean water for drinking and bathing, and easy access to toilets but we are a privileged minority globally. When I first went to my wife’s home to met her family I was shocked by the lack of these facilities. I’ve since made them available but most of our neighbours are still without toilets. This is the type of volunteer work I’d like to get involved in with Paleriders. The work can be carried out in a short amount of time, it requires local involvement, there is only a small capital outlay and it can be done in any part of the country we want to travel to.
